An Atlanta native, Daniel Byrd (b. 1994) is a bachelor of fine arts graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Byrd has been strongly influenced by the constant energy of the city for as long as he can remember. Translating this energy onto two- dimensional surfaces, he creates a space where a variety of marks communicate and compete with one another for visual dominance.
Byrd's work is already in a number of private collections, and he has executed a number of commissions, including Prequel Restaurant, Washington, DC; The Shops of Buckhead, Atlanta; SCAD, Hong Kong; SCAD, Atlanta; and Del Frisco's Double Eagle, Steakhouse, Atlanta.
